Christmas thoughts

Now thoughts about Christmas I think are best done beforehand. It is just not worth it once your there.

I thought I'd done it, I thought I was one of life's clever guys who just could not be annoyed. But I was wrong. Did I get my kids any musical instruments? No, no nails down the blackboard moments in our house. Did I get them any intricate components which required dad's undivided attention for the whole day and the rest of the week besides? No. And what about long and tedious bored games (spelling mistake intended) which go on and on for hours but must be played with in the spirit of Christmas. No. of course not, that is simply elementary.

But what did I do wrong then?

Well, I got my 10 year old daughter a mobile phone. What can go wrong there? lots of games for her to play, lots of setting up by herself without needing dad's help. The day was bliss. So what's the problem. Well, all through the night, she was sending me text messages!!! Aaahh!!

Can teenagerhood really be worse?

Merry Christmas - what is left of it - from Evoland.
